About Us

Thanks for taking an interest in us and our business! In June 2000, Paul Addison and Karen Raymond bought Atlas Chem-Dry from Paul's retiring boss, Ken Pollok. At first they could only afford half of the business, and it wasn't until 2005 that they were able to expand to include the southern franchise areas that extend to Moana. In August 2008 Atlas Chem-Dry bought A1 Chem-Dry, doubling customer numbers and extending their coverage right out to Gawler.

During the transitioning years, fridge magnets were distributed with all the following numbers: 8374 2333, 1300 730 043, 8374 0073 and now 8269 2626. All of these numbers still work, although we now only advertise 8269 2626. The southern area was also renamed A-Class Chem-Dry for a few years but now Atlas again. All of the A1 Chem-Dry phone numbers also now redirect to the Prospect base of Atlas Chem-Dry, so whether you dial 1300 302 307, 8284 0329, 8396 5333, 8387 3876 or 8255 8591, you'll find us!

Paul Addison is a perfectionist whose excellent work and client rapport have earned him many loyal customers over the past fourteen years. He puts the satisfaction of his customers above all else and is always resourceful. He trains his staff to work in this way.

Paul and Karen employ staff with 'can do' attitudes who are hard working individuals, with a similar, service-orientated work ethic.
We are committed to excellence with Chem-Dry's carbonated cleaning system, which we believe is the best on the market.

Paul & Karen have been making a marriage and business partnership work successfully for 9 years.
Mick E has been with us since October 2004, with carpet industry and management experience.
Julie has been an integral part of the customer service team since August 2007, she is a skilled organiser.
Mick Z, Atlas Chem-Dry's Customer Service Star 3 years running, has been working with Paul since the 90s!
Ashley D has been with Atlas since early 2002 and is a focussed, loyal and professional hard worker.
Connie joined us in January, with over 6 years' experience, she loves a challenge and is ace at stain removal!
Matt is missing from the photos, with his many years of hospitality experience, Matt knows all about service.
Jeremy has been cleaning with the Chem-Dry system for over two years, originally working for A1 Chem-Dry.
Katie is our latest addition to the customer service team, you can hear her smile on the phone! 
Karl is a friendly, enthusiastic technician with a high care factor when it comes to quality.
Octavia, the youngest member of our team, helps on Saturdays in customer service.
Also missing is Ashley R, in the office on Mondays, with his natural gift for excellent customer service.

We are proud of winning our Chem-Dry Awards for Business Development (2001/2), Franchise of the Year (2004/5), International Chem-Dry Franchise of the Year (2008) and the recent Local Business Award, all of which inspire us to continue providing the best service and highest quality carpet and upholstery cleaning that we can.

We are always open to feedback from our customers, as we like to develop long-term relationships - so we need to know if anything isn't right or if there is some way we could be doing things better. We really do welcome complaints at all times!
